हाथी - इंसानो के मित्र और हमारे देश के अनमोल धरोहर

पश्चिम बंगाल के कई जंगलों एवं उससे लगे गावों में अक्सर इंसानो और हाथियों के बीच संघर्ष की खबरें आती रहती हैं।   हाथी स्वभाव से काफी शांत जानवर हैं, वे जान बुझ कर इंसानो के रास्ते नहीं आना चाहते, किन्तु सिकुड़ते वन क्षेत्र एवं इन विशालकाय जीवों के लिए भोजन की कमी इन्हे लहलहाते खेतों और उनमें खड़ी फसल की तरफ आकर्षित करती हैं।  झुण्ड में आने वाले ये हाथी गावों के कई एकड़ में फैले फसलों को बर्बाद कर देते हैं।  कई बार ये हाथी अपने रास्ते में आने वाले मकानो को भी उजाड़ देते हैं।   मजबूरन गाँव वालों के साथ इनका संघर्ष होता है जिसके एवज में कई बार कुछ इंसान मारे जाते हैं, कई बार इन हाथियों को जहर देकर या बिजली के तारों में झुलसा कर मार दिया जाता है।   हालांकि हाथियों को संरक्षित श्रेणी में रखे जाने के बाद हाथियों को जान बुझ कर मार देने की ज्यादा खबरें नहीं मिलती, मगर इक्का दुक्का ऐसे उदाहरण कभी कभी देखने को मिल जाते हैं।

मित्रों, हमें यह बात समझना होगा कि हाथी हमारे देश के धरोहर हैं।  जहाँ एक ओर दुनिया के अधिकाँश क्षेत्रो से हाथी लुप्तप्राय हो चुके हैं, वहीँ दूसरी तरफ भारत एवं इसके सीमावर्ती देशों तथा अफ्रीका के देशों में अभी भी हाथी बचे हुए हैं, किन्तु आज से कुछ दशक पहले जितनी इनकी संख्या थी उसका १० प्रतिशत भी अब नहीं बची।  इसका कारण स्पष्ट है जिस तेजी से हमारे देशों में जनसँख्या का बोझ बढ़ा है, उतनी ही तेजी से संसाधनो को जुटाने के चक्कर में जंगलों को अंधाधुंध काटा जाता रहा है।   परिणामस्वरूप हमारे देश की आजादी के वक़्त का करीब ७० प्रतिशत वन संरक्षित क्षेत्र आज २० प्रतिशत से भी नीचे आ चूका है।   अब इन क्षेत्रों में रहने वाले जीवों के अस्तित्व पर प्रश्नचिन्ह लगने स्वाभाविक ही है।   न जाने कितने जीवों और पक्षियों की प्रजाति भारत के वनों से विलुप्त हो चुकी हैं।   हाथी शुद्ध शाकाहारी जीव होते हैं।  अपने विशालकाय शरीर के वजह से इनके भोजन का मुख्य श्रोत जंगलों के पेड़ पौधों के अंधाधूंध कटाव के वजह से इनकी संख्या में कमी आना स्वाभाविक ही है।

अगर हमें अपने देश के इस धरोहर को बचाना है तो हमें जंगलों को न सिर्फ बचाना होगा बल्कि अधिक से अधिक जंगलों का विस्तार करना होगा।  मित्रों, प्रायः हम सबने हाथियो को बहुत करीब से देखा होगा।   उन्हें अपने हाथो से छुआ भी होगा और कुछ लोगों ने उसकी सवारी भी की होगी।   इतने विशालकाय शरीर का स्वामी होने के बावजूद भी हमने इन्हे कितनी शान्ति से मंदिरों के सामने भक्तों को अपने सूंड से आशीर्वाद देते देखा होगा।   आपने इन्हे इंसानो के कई झांकियों में भाग लेते देखा होगा।   जंगल में सफारी का काम भी यही करते हैं जहाँ अपने पीठ पर बिठा कर ये हाथी टूरिस्ट्स को जंगल की सैर कराते हैं।   जंगल में न जाने कितने कार्यों के लिए इन्हे इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

हाथी सामाजिक प्राणी होते हैं।   जंगलों में यह झुण्ड में निवास करते हैं जिसमे बड़े-बूढ़े, जवान और शिशु हाथी सब एक साथ रहते हैं और एक दूसरे की मदद के लिए सदा तत्पर रहते हैं।  शिशु हाथियों की सुरक्षा के लिए ये हाथी हमेशा घेरा बना कर चलते हैं।  अक्सर विदेशों में इनके प्रति अनेक भ्रांतियां होती हैं।   विदेशों में बने कई फिल्मों में इन्हे डायनासोर की तरह का भयावह प्राणी दिखाया गया है जो अक्सर सच्चाई से परे होता है।   वस्तुतः हाथी इंसानो के प्रति बहुत वफादार होते हैं।   एक बार इंसानो से दोस्ती कर ली तो फिर ये हाथी उनके लिए जान तक देने को तैयार हो जाते हैं।   हाथी बड़े ही इमोशनल जानवर होते हैं।   साथ ही ये बहुत बुद्धिमान भी होते हैं।

मित्रों, हाल में टाइम्स ऑफ़ इंडिया में छपी यह खबर उनके इमोशनल व बुद्धिमान होने का एक और उदाहरण पेश किया है।   हाथियो के झुण्ड में से एक हाथी ने इंसानो के साथ के संघर्ष में जब एक मकान को ढाह दिया तो उसमे एक नन्हा मानव शिशु दब गयी, हाथी जब वह से लौटने लगा तो उसने उस मानव शिशु के रोने की आवाज़ सुनी।   यह सुन कर वह वापिस उस घर की तरफ मुड़ा और वहाँ मलवे में पड़े एक एक ईंट को हटा कर बच्चे को बचाया और फिर वहाँ से वापिस गया।   यह कोई अनोखी घटना नहीं है, इन गावों में निवास करने वाले कई लोगों ने बताया कि हाथी बड़े ही इमोशनल होते हैं और इस तरह कई बार इन्होने इंसानो की जान बचाई है।   क्या हम अपने देश के इन धरोहरों को नहीं बचाएंगे?

दिल के उमंगो की प्रतीक होली

दो दिन बाकी हैं रंगो के उत्सव होली के आने में।   मगर चारों तरफ इसकी छटा और खुश्बू अभी से महसूस की जा रही है।   दुकाने रंग बिरंगे गुलालो एवं रंगो से सज चुकी हैं।  छोटी, बड़ी एवं मध्यम आकार की पिचकारियाँ भी दुकानों में दिख रही हैं।   होली के अवसर पर तमाम तरह की जोकर वाली टोपियां भी दुकानो में सज गयी हैं।   मिठाई की दुकानें तरह तरह की मीठाइयों से सज चुकी हैं।   यह वह समय है जब लोग जी खोल कर इस त्यौहार को आंनदमय बनाने के लिए खर्च करते हैं।   नए कपडे, गिफ्ट्स, मिठाइयां, नाना प्रकार के व्यंजन, ड्राई फ्रूट्स, तरह तरह के शीतल पेय, रंग-गुलाल और घरों की साफ़- सफाई व साज- सजावट।   दुकानदारों के लिए भी यह समय काफी कमाई करने का समय है।   सबके मन में खुशियां हिलोरे ले रही होती हैं।   क्या बच्चे, क्या बूढ़े और क्या जवान।  दूसरे शहरों में जा कर पढ़ाई करने वाले विद्यार्थी हों या नौकरी पेशा लोग, इस समय सब अपने घर जरूर आते हैं और सपरिवार यह ख़ुशी मनाते हैं।

आज मेरे दफ्तर में मुझे जरा भी एहसास न था कि आज मैं भी होली के रंगो में रंगा जाउंगा।   रोज की ही भाँती आज भी दफ्तर में काफी कार्य था जिसमे मुझे कुछ सोचने कि फुर्सत शायद ही मिलती है।   शाम को करीब ६ बजे मैंने देखा हमारे कुछ युवा सहकर्मी एक दूसरे को होली के गुलालो से रंग रहे थे।   चुकी मेरी तैयारी कुछ नहीं थी, मैंने सोचा कि मैं चुपके से निकल जाऊं।   मगर जैसे ही मैं करीब ६.३० पर अपने दफ्तर से बाहर निकला, देखा दफ्तर के मुख्य द्वार पर वही सहकर्मी इंतज़ार में थे कि जो लोग बचे हुए हैं, उनको रंगना है।   और फिर वही हुआ जो होना था, मैं भी रंगा गया।    मित्रों, होली मिलन का एक बहुत ही प्यारा एहसास होता है।   होली प्रेम और सौहार्द का प्रतीक है।   इसमें शरारत है, मस्ती है और एक दूसरे के प्रति स्नेह दर्शाने का एक जरिया भी है।   होली दफ्तर के अपने सहकर्मियों के साथ हो, अपने पड़ोसियों के साथ हो, मित्रों या परिवार जनों के साथ हो, आज के काफी व्यस्त जीवन शैली के बीच, यह पर्व हमें एक बार फिर बच्चों की तरह बन जाने का मौका देता है।   यह अवसर देता है कि हम उन सब लोगों से यह जाहिर कर सकें की हम साल के बाकी दिनों में उनके लिए भले ही उतना समय न दे सकें, मगर हमारी आपस की मित्रता, अपनापन कभी कम नहीं होती।   और फिर इस दिन हम उसी एहसास को पुनर्जीवित करने की भरपूर कोशिश करते हैं।  आज ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे अपने उन युवा सहकर्मियों के बीच जो मुझसे उम्र में कुछ छोटे ही हैं, उन्हें इस बात की बहुत ख़ुशी हुई कि मैंने उनकी बात मान कर उनके साथ होली खेली।   मुझे भी यह बहुत अच्छा लगा, ऐसा लग रहा था कि मैं अपने शहर से दूर होते हुए भी उन लोगों के बीच हूँ जो मेरे साथ अपनी खुशिया बाटना चाहते हैं।   बस एक बात की टीस रह गयी की उनमे से एक मित्र ने मेरे साथ होली खेलने से इंकार कर दिया।   कहते हैं कि होली एक ऐसा पर्व है जहाँ दुश्मनो को भी माफ़ कर गले लगाया जाता है।   और फिर हम तो कभी दुश्मन भी नहीं रहे।   मैंने तो अपने हाथ हमेशा दोस्ती के लिए बढाए थे, मगर उन्हें ही शायद मेरी दोस्ती रास न आयी।

आज इस मौके पर होली के ऊपर बने बीते जमाने के एक बहुत ही प्यारे से गीत का यह अंश याद आ रहा है -
"अपनी अपनी किस्मत है ये, कोई हसे, कोई गाये  ………… कोई हसे कोई गाये। "

Trickster Kejriwal - a bloated face in Politics

If you go to a site of an NGO, you would see the first prominent thing there- how you can donate to that NGO.  You will find the bank account number on which you can transfer your money through NEFT or through Net Banking.  If you try to move inside, again you would find several links which would lead you there where you would be asked to donate.  They would boast of several activities they are engaged into.  In many of those sites you would hardly find the addresses of those NGO, or in many cases even the registration numbers.

I am not saying all NGOs are like that.  Some days back I read in the newspapers that in India total number of NGOs in India up to 2009 were around 3 crore 30 Lakh, around one per 400 persons in India.  You can think of this astonishing number of NGOs.  Why such a huge number of NGOs are there in India?  Are these working for the sake of the people?  Yes some of those are doing.  But you must agree that most of them are coming in order to take the maximum grants, and in the name of NGO, those who are running them are enjoying the money so collected for their own sake without giving a single paisa as income tax to Central Government too.

Friends, the party called 'Aam Aadmi Party' has also been launched by a person who left well paid government job to start an NGO and under that stint had amassed crores of Rupees from chiefly foreign sources.  He is such a shrewd person that he started a political party hijacking the Jan Lokpal movement of Anna.  He is such a good fixer and manipulator that millions of Delhites came in his influence.  Many of my friends and relatives also came in his influence initially.  Fortunately many of them have realised their mistake.  As a keen analyzer and observer of the people who are in politics and other such related fields, I found many inconsistencies in what Kejriwal spoke to the people and how he behaved.  How he impersonated himself as an honest and simple person who was fighting for the poor people of India, it all seemed very fake on many counts.  His facial expressions, his body language, his overstating talks including questioning others, sending mails to different political parties and their leaders with a fixed number of questions- all seemed fake.

He never seemed to be patriotic or really concerned with other problems India is facing.  His one plank agenda remained only corruption, that too before becoming CM his approach seemed different on that, and after becoming CM that approach changed considerably that everybody knows.  In fact he has nothing to do with the welfare of nation or with the people.  He just wants to use the people as his stepping stone to reach to the top crushing them under his feet, fast and furious with all the tricks, by hook or by crook.

Truth of Topibaaz Kejriwaal - Aam aadmi who travels in Chartered Plane

IBN 7 host Sanjay Poogalia tonight slammed Shazia Ilmi for her illogical statements and non-stop baseless allegations on others including the channel for its ownership without listening to anybody present there, what she does almost every time when she comes on TV channels.  Ashutosh, Shazia, Kumar Vishwaas etc. are masters in creating sensational stories out of nothing.  I feel this will backfire the Aam Aadmi party's plans to win more and more seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections.  Now the media is also telling them that in order to remain in limelight they are trying newer ways to impress news channels.  Today's drama is also one among those.  Now it's evident that Kejri and his team have better prospects in Bollywood than in Politics.

This topibaaz Aam aadmi is now travelling in Chartered plane who till yesterday was relentlessly attacking Rahul Gandhi and Modiji for their travelling in Chartered planes.

When this topibaaz Aam aadmi goes out for meetings and election campaigns, he moves in ultra-luxurious cars.

This topibaaz had galloped funds of NGO and even that from his political guru, Anna Hazaare.  The charges have been labelled by Anna himself.

Topibaaz after Delhi election said that he would never form government.  He would neither go with Congress nor with BJP.  But soon he changed colors, went on to form government with the support of Congress.

Topibaaz before becoming CM of Delhi, had relentless attacks on Delhi Congress leaders including Sheela Dixit.  Showed to media evidences against all the corrupt ministers and leaders.  After becoming CM with the support of Congress, turns his back to all the corruption charges against them.  To the contrary asks opposition BJP to prove that they were corrupt, only then he would take action against the same leaders against whom he said he had hundreds of papers that prove their involvement in scams.

Topibaaz does not care for any democratic institution and even Indian constitution.  Despite being a CM, ignoring all protocols, went on to sit on Dharna before Rail Bhawan, cuased lots of inconvenience to common Delhites.

Topibaaz for his aspirations of his becoming a Prime Minister, left the people of Delhi midway just after 49 days.  Pushed Delhi for President rule which ultimately would lead to another election causing drain out of hundreds of Crores of Rupees that would come from taxes of the common man which could otherwise have been used on development works.

Topibaaz's false promises to Delhites have come to fore after his resignation as CM.  He did nothing concrete regarding his promise for electricity rates to reduce it to half and providing free water to each household.  While electricity rates were reduced by giving subsidy to power distribution companies, that was done just for few months and after his exit it was made public.  Free water is being provided only to the metered connections and not to the poor families.  Topibaaz did nothing for the welfare of the poorest of the poor.  He shrugged all his responsibilities on one pretext or other.  Finally decided to exit from Delhi and very next day declared his intentions by calling the meeting of his leaders for Lok Sabha elections.

Before leaving the CM post, made lots of fuss, hue and cry as if he was made to sacrifice his post.  Muffler and Coughing are his trade marks which he utlilizes very effectively to show himself so called 'aam aadmi'.  He is trying to establish himself as a challenge to a far bigger cadre based party, BJP despite knowing it well that becoming a party like BJP takes decades of hard work and delivering to the expectations of the people.  But Topibaaz is in so much of hurry that he wants to become PM within one year of the formation of his party.

Topibaaz wants to use media and TV channels in his favour by various dramatic ways like creating furors and using his own people to make it look like they are the sufferers and what ever bad or nuisance has been done, has been done by others.so that his face always remain visible.  He feels this is how when he would keep on throwing charges on opposition parties and their leaders, he would become popular and he would win the elections.

Topibaaz was stopped by Gujarat Police on Election Commission move of 'Moral Code of Conduct', he instigated his people in Delhi to attack BJP's Head Quarters there.  His people tried to break the gates of the BJP Head Quarter and pelted stones and used laathis against BJP workers.  With Police they had skirmish in which its workers were injured.  He lebels this on BJP workers and tried to get sympathy from public, which actually backfired.  

Topibaaz came up with two rounds of list of corrupt leaders.  All others who are not in AAP, are corrupt according to this Topibaaz's definition.  He would field his candidates against all these leaders.

Topibaaz says that BJP and Congress both are playing in the hands of Ambanis.  Whatever decisions in India are taken that is on the instance of Ambani.

Please Topibaaz, we are tired of your cheap tricks of keeping yourself in lime-lights.  You shrugged off your responsibilities as a CM.  You are no longer credible in the eyes of the Indian citizens.   And please if you want to prove yourself, do something for the people, so far nothing has been done by you which can establish your credibility.  You have hijacked Anna movement to become a leader and a CM later on.  You have deceived people of Delhi in your hurry to become Prime Minister.  You are eyeing the election results that when no party or political combine would be in a position of forming government of their own and then when no consensus would be possible for Prime Minister candidate name, you would put yourself for the same so that they agree on your name, in their own fight.

Media propaganda to blame BJP for everything- Please don't think Public doesn't understand!

On ABP News, one Sudhanshu Mittal of BJP has been called and around four five journalists along with AAP leader have surrounded him; instead of blaming AAP for rioting at BJP office yesterday, are blaming and shouting uncontrollably at him that he and his party should say sorry to the public that they resorted to violence against AAP workers. The poor fellow having a low pitched voice is being overpowered by others and nobody is listening to him. Media is branding BJP as an undemocratic party which is responsible for violence against AAP workers.

Meanwhile Police and Election Commission have taken action against AAP for they found facts against their workers and that is what is quite evident from what has happened. Election Commission has announced that Kejriwal has violated model code of conduct after the announcement of election dates yesterday and that was well known to Kejri. By sending smses the AAP workers were assembled for this violent action at BJP Office. If Kejri was detained in Gujarat, that was by the Gujarat Police which comes under Election Commission with the announcement of election dates. But to the contrary channels like ABP news are hell bent on blaming BJP for this.

This kind of propaganda when a general public (not that aam party supporters) see, would definitely start hating such journalists and would not believe in their news covering. Why does not these news channels understand that there is a limit of propaganda that they should do, after a limit everything seems so fake that their credibility fades away from the minds of the viewers. Don't forget BJP is a party whose supporters are today largest in number in India and that's because it's a good party and have leaders of mass appeal and integrity. For a bad party, largest number of Indians would never support. And if there is any doubt in anybody's mind, next Lok Sabha elections would clear the clouds.

अपने सर्किल में आने वाले अशालीन एवं अननुशाशित लोगों से कैसे निपटें ?

मित्रों, आप सबने ऐसा कई बार महसूस किया होगा की आपके सर्किल में चाहे अनचाहे कुछ ऐसे लोग आ जाते होंगे, जिनकी उपस्थिति आपको विचलित करती होगी।   मैंने कई बार देखा है ऐसे लोग जो बात-चित या किसी सार्थक मुद्दे पर बहस के समय अपना आपा न सिर्फ खो देते हैं, बल्कि नैतिकता और शालीनता की सारी हदें भी तोड़ देते हैं।   ऐसे लोगों में घमंड इतना ज्यादा होता है कि वे अपने सामने किसी को कुछ नहीं समझते।  ऐसे लोग चाहे छोटे पदों में कार्यरत हों, किन्तु अपने ही ऑफिस के बड़े बड़े अफसरों को गालिया देने में, अपने सहकर्मियों को गाली सूचक शब्दों से सम्बोंधित करने से नहीं चूकते।   हालांकि ऐसे लोगों को इस बात से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि इससे उनके बारे में दूसरों की नजर में क्या इमेज बनती है।   ऐसे लोग बड़बोले होते हैं और अपनी  डींगे हांकना भी उन्हें काफी पसंद होता है।   मगर समस्या यह होती है कि वे किसी सार्थक बहस का हिस्सा नहीं बन सकते।   उनके पास ना तो धैर्य होता है किसी के बात को सुनने की ना, इतनी समझ होती है कि वे दूसरे की बातों को समझ सकें।  दूसरे शब्दों में इनमे बौद्धिक क्षमता का नितांत अभाव पाया जाता है।   जब भी ऐसे लोग अपना मुँह खोलते हैं, आपको पता चल जाता है कि उनके पास बोलने को कुछ नहीं है, तथ्यों की कोई जानकारी नहीं है और बस बेतुकी बातें बोलते चले जाना उनका शौक होता है।   ऐसे लोगों का प्रयास यह होता है कि वे दूसरों को अपने स्तर तक गिराना चाहते हैं जहाँ ला कर वे दूसरों को हरा सकें।   वैसे तो हम सब का ऐसे लोगों से आमना - सामना होना एक सामान्य सी बात है, ऐसे लोगों से कैसे बचना चाहिए यह बहुत जरूरी है।

कल ऐसे ही एक सहकर्मी से मेरा अनजाने में आमना सामना हो गया।   यह महानुभाव अपने आप को एक्स सर्विस मैन कहते हैं, मगर इनकी बातों को सुन कर पहले तो मैं उसकी बौद्धिक क्षमता की कमी पर उसके साथ सहानुभूति के साथ पेश आता था।   कभी कभी यह मेरे सर्विस डेस्क पर आ कर मेरा दिमाग भी खाने का काम किया करते थे।  मेरे न चाहने पर भी दूसरों की बुराई और अपनी डींगे हाकने में लगे रहते थे, मगर यह वह समय था जब वे जनाब एक साल पहले नए नए हमारी कंपनी में आये थे और तब इनके बारे में मुझे बहुत कुछ मालूम न था।   कुछ दिनों पूर्व इनके बारे में पता चला कि इन्होने अपने साथ के ही किसी सहकर्मी के साथ हाथा-बाही की, उसके बाद इनके खिलाफ कंपनी के अधिकारियों के समक्ष शिकायत हो गयी।   फिर इस घटना के कुछ दिनों बाद ये जनाब मेरे पास अपनी कहानी सुनाने आये।  अपनी डींगे हाक्ने लगे कि जिसको इन्होने पीटा, उसको बार बार पीटेंगे।  ऐसे बता रहे थे जैसे कोई जंग जीत कर आये हों।   इस कम अक्ल इंसान की उम्र करीब ३५ वर्ष है, मुझे आश्चर्य इस बात का हुआ कि एक एक्स सर्विस मैन इस तरह अननुशाशित कैसे हो सकता है।   ऐसे लोग किसी भी आर्गेनाईजेशन के लिए कलंक हैं।  कल मुझे अपशब्द बोलते हुए इन्होने सारी हदें पार कर ली, इन्हे यह बोध भी नहीं रहा की, मैं इस कंपनी में इनसे काफी पुराना हूँ।  खैर इस बात से मुझे इस लिए ज्यादा फर्क नहीं पड़ता क्यूँ कि इन्होने अपने बारे में चार अन्य मित्र जो मेरे साथ थे, ये बड़ी शान से बताया कि वे बहुत घटिया टाइप के हैं और वे किसी भी हद तक गिर सकते हैं।   मुझे संतोष है कि इस बात का विरोध वहाँ मौजूद सभी लोगों ने किया और महसूस किया कि ये जनाब अपने संस्कार एवं पृष्टभूमि के बारे में अपना परिचय दे रहे थे।

मित्रों, वास्तव में मैंने यह आर्टिकल इस लिए लिखा है कि आप सब ऐसे लोगों के संपर्क में जरूर आते होंगे।   ऐसे लोगों से कैसे निपटा जाए इसके बारे में सोचना चाहिए।   मेरे साथ यह पहला अनुभव नहीं है, ऐसे लोगों से मैंने कई बार निपटा है।   और यही आपको बताना चाहता हूँ, ऐसे लोगों को आप कभी महत्व न दें।  इनके उपस्थिति में अगर सम्भव हो तो आप वहाँ से पलायन कर लें या यदि वहाँ उपस्थित रहना नितांत जरुरी हो तो उनके साथ किसी परिचर्चा में भाग न लें।   ऐसे लोगों को अपनी इज्जत की तो कोई परवाह नहीं होती, मगर दूसरों की इज्जत उछालने में इन्हे आनंद की अनुभूति होती है।
