Last coal mines operation stopped in Britain, the nation that brought industrial revolution in nineteenth and twentieth centuries was primarily based on coal energy. What a mile stone, now a complete shift towards cleaner energy sources. Well these developed countries are capable of running their industries on alternatives since they can afford them. Our nation is also trying to some extent by which it can afford the alternate energy sources but due to constraints still in vogue it would be slow and steady..

Well remember our childhood days when there was coal based Chulha and kerosene based stove used by our mothers and grandmothers, but still the sky was so clear, at nights we could see the stars and count them. But later on our mothers had gas oven and there was no need for coal and Kerosene but in place of pollution level getting decreased, the same has gone up multi-fold since then.

Well today when we have started witnessing the demo of the inevitable that is our getting closer to the end of the life of this planet, the planet that gave us oxygen to breathe, plenty of water to drink, plenty of plants and trees to eat and plenty of fellow species to befriend and recreate. We kept on exploiting our beautiful planet for our greed. We forgot we can live only when the planet is healthy and the resources that it provided us free of cost remain preserved.

We are too late to understand this. We are targeting to keep the average temperature on this earth increase by next decade up to 2 degrees but it's too difficult to meet. Developed countries are not ready to help developing countries by means of providing technology and money that are required to them. Only God can save us. Let's pray. Let us think about our children, our grand children.. would they be able to breathe oxygen after few decades. Would there be water for them to drink? Would there be food grains to eat?  

God knows when that inevitable engulfs our beautiful planet, when there would be flood everywhere, oceans will engulf most of the land mass... don't run after worldly pleasures for yourself. Think about the next generations.

Let us put an end to our superstitions, educate others

When in a district of Bihar, a District Magistrate ate the food prepared by a widow, the food that villagers stopped their children to eat in a school was really a welcome gesture that should bring conscience to the villagers who did so. However I was shocked to know that even now such things happen that too in our own backyard. This forward and backward, touchable and untouchable, poor and rich - I can't count how much are we divided.. At the top of it, despite being one of the least developed countries as far as what the human development index speaks, we have so much of superstitions that even educated people still believe in things like don't cross the street if a cat has crossed it before and until someone else crosses it thinking the ill fate that may fall on us if we cross first, let it go to someone else. I have seen people stopping their bikes or car waiting for any other person to walk or any other bike or car to cross first, after that cat has passed through it. If you sneeze once, people will say something bad is waiting, if your left eye vibrates again this is a bad omen... Well there are thousands of false babas too promoting such superstitions offering solution to the ill fates caused by these superstitious events by means of providing stones and tantra mantras. Well we are educated and we need to see that everyone around us get educated and come out of such superstitions. We need to make people understand that there is nothing other than our Karmas that can change our lives for the betterment. No trick, no tantra yantra can change our fate without our own efforts. Let us change ourselves. Love all fellow beings. Don't discriminate please.

Save childhood - save innocence

Aren't we killing the childhood of our babies when we give them a mobile phone in their hands to play when they are adolescent? They get hooked to the e-gadgets from the beginning and then they confine themselves to the self, enjoying nothing of the kind we played in groups with other children. They don't have time for outdoor games as we had when we were child.  This has made them physically lethargic and obese as compared to the previous generations. Mentally they might be more alert and sharp but the time when they should be playing with little kids of their age, they are putting the strain on their tender brains for the complex mobile games.  Their innocence is lost in the process.  With that comes several other psychiatric problems that even the parents and teachers are not able to sort out. Moreover parents are not having time for their children in this single family system, where is the solution then? No hope, the way the Koreans and Japanese have mechanized themselves, we are going to be the same.  This is our fate.  Our scientists are trying to make robots behave like humans.  Unfortunately we humans are getting more closer to become like robots.

Diabetic capital of the world - can we prove this wrong?

Britain with 5% diabetic population is thinking of taxing sugar. We a diabetic capital of the world are not doing much to contain the biggest death creator. If even government contemplates to put high rate of taxes on cold drinks that contains high sugar content, political parties and other interested capitalist groups join together to defeat such good motives. Can we unite and show our resolve that yes we want our children not to be victim of this killer disease? Can we teach our children not to take cold drinks? Can't we teach them to take healthy foods and not junks?  Well it's not easy since we are surrounded in such an environment where everybody is doing this and we learn from our own environment.  Today we eat our traditional food less and junk food more.  It's more of a contribution from the ads on media that has made us believe in status and life style that is closely associated with the products shown on these ads.  We have forgotten our traditional healthy food habits, that asks for some time to consume that in a relaxing mode whereas the junks can be prepared and eaten within a few minutes.  We are habituated to short cuts and so the life also paying us back in the form of various life style linked diseases that our predecessors did not frequent earlier.  Diabetes surely is one of the deadliest among them.  Let us think now or be prepared for the worst to come, may be not in our life but in our children to whom we love a lot at least what we tend to show to the world.

ISIS - Danger awaiting in our own backyard

ISIS has brought medieval age back when the humans were treated like gulams and ladies were sex slaves for the rich and powerful. They are killing those who don't follow their ideology or don't support them. They rape innocents as young as 12 year olds snatching them from their families. They make them sex slaves. They are selling the girls in market like goats, putting chains around their neck.. how cruel and devil all this is.. They are gruesome and their activities are horrendous.  They are spreading their wings to many Asian, African countries as well as some parts of Europe. Their agents are now everywhere including France, Britain and USA. Many are inspired with their ideologies, the figure may run in millions. Don't know what's going to happen in future.. I don't find much being done to contain them by sending the armies in Iraq and Syria. Aerial bombing can't do much. They have to be killed in their dens. US and Russia should join hands together to kill those bastards otherwise they will become so strong that in these most powerful countries too, they will spread like cancer one day.  Their aim is to win the whole world under Islamic Caliphate.

Live your life, don't race!

Yes it's true that Nineteenth century was a century of plight for the Indians in terms of poverty, starvation, epidemic, slavery, illiteracy and exploitation. But sometimes I feel people were still happy in the confinement of their homes and their neighborhood till the time they lived, even in the scarcity and adversity. There was still a mental peace and harmony. Today this we lack a lot. Then I believe there would be hardly one in thousands who was having the psychiatric problems, today almost every other person can be found with this disorder in some way or other.

One reason of this I believe is our blind race towards achieving something that has got no end. It's just watching the one before us and running after him to overtake him some day. Once that person is overtaken, you are left with no option but to overtake the other person and this becomes a never ending race and at the last phase of the career, it seems how so long we run, there would always be someone ahead of us. And then we turn back to look what we gained and what we lost, we find we lost many precious things that money can't buy. Then we feel the thirst of getting those things that we missed during those precious years, but fail to get those as the opportunity was lost forever. Then comes the time when we just regret and regret and time gallops us with the urge still afresh in our minds on our death beds.

Friends always remember we are temporary, this earth is permanent, this sun is permanent, this land we live on is permanent, the air that we breathe is permanent. Each and every moment that we have is ours till our last breathe comes and nobody knows when it comes. Live your life, don't race!

Pakistan - distorted history taught to its masses

Recently heard Hasan Nisar Sahab's TV interviews and other speeches. Mr. Hasan Nisar is a renowned journalist of Pakistan. I heard his views on the creation of Pakistan, contemporary issues in Pakistan, India- Pakistan relations, the religious fundamentalism in Pakistan, failure of governance by successive governments, Division of power between Pakistani military and the government. He is a keen observer of the international politics and dynamics of various nations in the changing world order. Unlike the government propaganda that Pakistan often does against India, he has honestly accepted the Pakistani hand in destabilizing the peace and governance in Indian Kashmir. He firmly says that it was Pakistan who sent its army to Kashmir in 1948 and it was an open aggression against Kashmir then due to which the then King of Kashmir agreed Kashmir's union with India.

He says it was the Nehru's insistence to become Prime Minister of India due to which Mohammad Ali Jinna was forced to ask for a separate state for Muslims. He also agrees that it was a big mistake that Pakistan was formed then. As a state Pakistan has totally failed as it was created only on one basis and that is religion. It was the Muslim influential masses mostly from the states of Bihar and UP who wanted to have a separate state in the name of Islam migrated to the other side of the border and controlled the politics of Pakistan. They failed the aspirations of local people rather exploited the local people. Urdu was not the local language of the areas under Pakistan. They had their own languages like Punjabi, Gujarati, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Baluch but Urdu was imposed on them. It was done in such a manner that now the local people of Sindh, Gujarat, Punjab, Baluchistan, Kashmir fear to speak in their own languages. It was a linguistic cleansing there. If somebody speaks other than Urdu in any of these states, he is thought to be uncivilized.

He says Pakistani's successive governments have distorted their history. They have no national heroes to boast off. They have made national heroes to those invaders who once came to the cities of Pakistan like Lahore and looted millions and raped the local ladies mercilessly. Names like Mohammad Bin Kasim, Ahmad Sah Abdali, Mohammad Gauri on the name of which they have kept their missiles are the invaders who came from Arab world, Turkey, Iran etc. were those who invaded then Hindustan part of which is now under Pakistan and raped thousands of ladies rampantly wherever they went. Pakistanis people feel pride in falsely adding their names to the people of Arab world, Turkey etc. with whom neither they resemble in looks, nor in language, nor in cuisines, customs and traditions. On the other hand, in their neighbourhood they are divided in the name of Pathan, Sheikh, Sayed, Jats, Gurjars and many more. They don't want to keep relations with other castes. Those arabs and Turks with whom they falsely try to add their names and say they are descendants of those, when those invaders came to Hindustan they always treated the Indian muslims along with Hindus third grade citizens. Even now in Arab World common Indian and Pakistani Muslims are untouchables for them.

He adds, Pakistanis can never count a single national hero for themselves. There were a few local (muslim) heroes in Undivided India like Tipu Sultan or Haidar Ali but they were not big enough names whom they could boast off as a national hero. Just because of religion, the national heroes like Chandragupta or Ashoka the great will never be told to the students of History in Pakistan. He openly admires these Heroes and criticizes Pakistan for naming Abdali, Gauri, Mughals as their heroes. Mughals were from Arab world. They were not Indians. When Shahajahan created Jama Maszid of Delhi, he didn't find even a single Maulana in India for the masjid. He called a Maulana from Bukhara, Arab. Even now the Maulanas are the descendent of the same family from Bukhara. Mughals were invaders and had come from Arab world and so they always felt themselves superiors.and so they never trusted local Indian muslims although in the Mughal era, the conversion of Hindus to Muslims was rampant.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah was only second generation Muslim who created Pakistan. Those people could not live with India just because they wanted their separate identity. In India since both the religions were living together, their identity was like a newly converted Muslim. So they could not have enjoyed that power that they could fulfill by creation of Pakistan.

Mr. Hasan Nisar Shab also openly criticizes Pakistani government for creating a hostile atmosphere against India. First by 1948 aggression in Kashmir in which Pakistan hold the territories of Kashmir valley, part of which it gifted to China, why? If Pakistan was so much concerned with the Kashmiris, why their land was gifted to China? Have they got any answers to it. In the Pakistan held Kashmir, the local people are not allowed to speak in their Kashmiri language, what's this? And they are asking for the rest of the Kashmir from India.

The Pakistani government is not even been able to manage its own provinces, but they are spending billions on Kashmir to destabilize the peace and tranquility there.

Pakistan has created atom bomb but failed to provide medical facilities to their poor people, failed to give two square meals to its people, failed to give education to its children. Atom Bomb what has it given in return. The atom bomb then which was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was toys as compared to today's atom bombs.

Some says in case of war they will ruin India. What can they ruin? He says the population of Pakistan is today 18 Crores. India has a population of more than a Billion people. Some day if war happens and atom bomb is used by both Pakistan and India, in that event let us suppose Pakistan creates four times the havoc killing four times the population that it has, say eighty crore people, still India remains with another twenty crore while Pakistan will end for ever. So it's just a cynicism, nothing else.

As a state since Pakistan has failed, its successive governments have failed, democracy has failed. There is no justice today to the general public. There is no education, there is no governance, no law and order, no public health facilities. When asked what's its solution now, he says now the situation has become so bad that their is no easy solution to it. As the government does not want any solution. Those who are the ruling masses, they also don't want the autonomy of the people under other provinces, they don't want their development. In such a situation, there is only one situation ,that is surgery. Pakistan is to be disintegrated into several nations wherein Punjabis would have their separate identity due to their own language, culture and tradition. Sindh, Baluch, Kashmir, Gujarat etc will have a separate nation. Then they will be honest to their soil. There will be no rule by the outsiders. The stability can return to this part of the subcontinent only then.

Smoking kills

The worst thing is you make others suffer as well due to your habit of smoking. Your family members are one of the biggest sufferers. Also you make many of your colleagues, friends and others in whose vicinity you smoke passive smokers. You are one of the biggest pollutant of this air that all breathe, humans to other living bodies that breathe. Where do you think this smoke goes to? It still remains inside our atmosphere and is transmitted to new born babies, little kids, asthma patients and old people. Think about them and not just for you yourself. You will give numerous example that there are hundreds and thousands you know who lived for more than eighty years even when they were chain smokers and there are another hundreds or thousands who were patients of cancer or who died premature before completing their sixty years although they did not smoke. These are just excuses you make. Statistics say smoking kills. Those who survived were lucky and that does not mean you will be one of those lucky ones. And think of others too, leave it for the sake of others, you may not be so selfish. Global warming is another issue. You are contributing to the increase in the average temperature of our planet. This is alarming as it is being predicted that at this rate of its increase, our biggest source of fresh water the ice of the glaciers in Himalayas and elsewhere will be lost forever. This will lead to drying up of many perennial rivers like the Ganges. It is also predicted that the ice on Antarctica may also be lost permanently in the event of which the level of the oceans will increase by several notches and will gobble a big chunk of land masses that are human settled including many nations in entirety or in fractions. Many big and flourishing cities will be lost for ever and the map of the earth will change considerably. Think before you smoke net time. Contribute in making this mother earth cleaner otherwise tomorrow for your future generation this planet will not be hospitable and you will be responsible for this.

मुझे फॉरेन जाना है !

मित्रों दुनिया के कुछ देशों में लोगों के बीच होड़ लगी है फॉरेन जाने की।   चाहे लड़का हो या लड़की, बीस का हो या चालीस का, सबके मन की यही ख्वाइश की भाई विदेश जाना है।  मैंने पूछा कि विदेश तो जाओगे, पगार कितनी पाओगे ?  कहा तीस चालीस हजार तो महीने का मिल ही जाएगा।  पूछा जॉब क्या है ?  किसी ने कहा सिक्योरिटी स्टाफ की।  दूसरे ने कहा शेफ की।  एक ने कहा स्किल्ड लेबर की।   बड़े शान से बताते हैं अपने यहाँ कि वो विदेश जा रहे हैं।  

पर उनमें से एक और बन्दा भी मिला जो मुझे थोड़ा उदास सा लगा।   मैंने उससे भी यही पूछा की वह किस जॉब के लिए जा रहा है।  उसने बताया कि पहले भी वह फॉरेन में रह चूका है और करीब ढेड साल काम करने के बाद वह घर वापस आ गया था।  उसने कहा वह मजबूरी में फिर से कंसल्टेंसी में इंटरव्यू के लिए जा रहा है।  फॉरेन में बहुत शोषण करते हैं।  तीसरे दर्जे का नागरिक समझते हैं।   बात तो सही कहा उसने।  फिर मैंने पूछा, दुबारा क्यों जा रहे हो ?  उसने कहा सारी जिल्लतें और तकलीफ सहने के बाद भी जितने पैसे बचते हैं वो अपने घर भेज देते हैं ताकि उनके परिवार के लोग सुखी सम्पन्न हो सके।   कुछ सालो के बाद जब अच्छे खासे पैसे जमा हो जाएंगे, तो अपने देश में उस पैसे से घर बनवायेंगे, घर आ कर व्यपार करेंगे।   

ऐसे न जाने कितने युवा ऐसे ही सपनो में खोये दिन रात फॉरेन जाने की बाट जुहते हैं।   अगर हम हमारे देश की बात करें तो बड़ा गर्व महसूस होता है जब देखता हूँ की टाटा ग्रुप ने या सन फार्मा ने और ऐसे ही न जाने कितने कंपनियों ने अपने यहाँ फॉरेनर्स को जॉब दिया है।   हम दुनिया में विश्व की छठी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था हैं।  मगर सारे अर्थ का ८० फीसदी हिस्सा १० फीसदी लोगों के पास है और बाकी २० फीसदी हिस्से में ९० फीसदी आबादी है।   काश इसका उल्टा होता !  

मगर ऐसा कभी हो नहीं सकता कारण हम इस कदर संक्रमित हो चुके हैं कि हम ही नहीं हमारी आने वाली कई पीढ़ियां युगो युगो तक इसका दंश झेलेंगी।   प्रकृति ने हमें विश्व की सबसे ऊर्व भूमि दी है , सबसे ज्यादा खनिज भण्डार दिए। मानव जीवन और हर प्रकार के जीव के लिए सबसे अनुकूल वातावरण दिया।  किन्तु यह सब कुछ मुट्ठी भर लोगों की लालच का शिकार हो गया और हम गुलामी को स्वीकार कर चुके लोग आजादी के बाद भी अब अपने ही देश के उन चंद लोगों की सत्ता स्वीकार कर नरक सा जीवन जीने को मजबूर हैं।
