A few days back I saw a video on you tube in which it was shown how a young lady in her twenties while coming out of office at night gets late to proceed for her home and so there is not much vehicles plying on road. A tempo driver asks her to help her reach to her destination. He asks her politely and try to make her feel that she is in safe hands. She agrees hesitantly and then he leaves her to the point from where she has to walk alone. She thanks God that she was in safe hands. The place is empty, she fears whether she would be able to reach her home through the empty street with no body in sight. Suddenly another young man appears and asks her whether she is alone and he can drop her to her home. He escorts her till her home comes. Well, at the end of the video, it was mentioned that a lonely girl is not an opportunity but a responsibility to us. It was so well made that I am sure it must have touched millions of hearts in India. Hope the sick minded people who take advantage of such things even when hundreds are there who can stop them doing so helping them voluntarily will change the scenario to a great extent. Help them in a manner that she is not offended and she can trust you. It's really true that they are not opportunity, they are our responsibility. Let us understand this, friends.

Young ladies are not opportunity but responsibility to the civil society
Classical case of mindless reservation system in India
Met an Ex-IAS officer's son yesterday in train. He was in his late twenties and was coming to Kolkata for appearing in an exam of Asst. Accounts Officer probably in West Bengal Government. We were three people in conversation including him and me. Well in the conversation we were talking about the reservation system in jobs and its impact. While the Upper caste candidates even scoring 80s are not able to get jobs while SC/ST candidates after scoring 40s are easily getting the same job. We discussed how the general candidates are getting victim of such a system and how the quality of the people coming in job due to such reservation system affects the entire chain. Well it may be a good subject for discussion but why I am writing this is that the boy who was going to appear for the exam while asked about his category came up with the answer that he appears in exams as a SC candidate. Well he looked suave, very well versed. He was serving in Bihar government earlier. He left that job recently on an issue with his boss. Friends let us think about it there may be several debates on this issue but my simple question is why there is such a mindless reservation system in which a son or a daughter of an IAS officer is eligible to get the advantage of reservation system?
