Respect ladies- they need to be understood in right perspective

Read a beautiful article today based on ladies' adaptability to the surroundings that is mostly male dominated. They program themselves to avoid unnecessary scuffle with others. They are soft targets of the prying eyes of men since the age of thirteen. Men from all age groups stare at them and try to make them realize that they are a commodity and not a fellow being like them. It hurts me inside too. Being a part of the same society I should also feel ashamed. Knowingly or unknowingly I may also have hurt many of my female acquaintances, friends and colleagues and sometimes even my mother and sister. They really adapt themselves to the difficult situations from their tender age as they face such abuses from the very early age of their growth. They retort only when the water crosses the level of their heads. Mostly they try to ignore verbal unwarranted and uninvited quotes or comments by known and unknown people. The writer of the article is a European lady. She mentions about the physical abuses too that I don't want to mention but that is something most of the ladies come across in their lives frequently even here in India but most of us keep those secret. She mentions that the girls and ladies tend to keep it with themselves and generally don't convey those with their mums or dad and after marriage to their husbands.

For a sensible man a deep understanding of a woman's psyche is necessary. They need to be cared, nurtured and given respect if she is related to you in any form. It hurts when someone makes a lousy comment about girls and ladies when I am around such persons but I feel helpless most of the time, probably that is an accepted norm in our boys' circle. I really feel pity for those girls too who themselves behave in such a manner that has changed the perception of men towards women as easy targets for their lusty desires. Well this is what women have to face in almost all parts of the world more or less equally. Can we change this? Yes we can if we change ourselves, applicable to both men and women, girls and boys!
